Questions
Thirty of them, split by whether you want to advertise, hand out the water, or just know who we are. If yours is not here, call or email and we will answer it.
Yes. We will tell you exactly where your bottles are going before anything prints, and you can say no. Our venue listings are on the Distribution page with photographs and a description of who walks through the door.
Send your logo and a line of copy. We lay the label out, send you a proof, and nothing goes to print until you have approved it. There is no charge for this and no setup fee.
Ours is, in the reserved inch — it points to Project Water so other businesses who notice the bottle can find us. Your own QR code is separate, it sits in your artwork, and it is entirely your call. We recommend one, because it is the only way either of us learns what the run produced.
Put a QR code in your artwork and we report the scan count at the end of the run. That is a real number rather than an impressions estimate. Without a code, you are relying on people mentioning the bottle when they walk in, which some do and most do not.
No. One advertiser per run, and we will not place a business that competes with you at the same venue while your bottles are still going out.
That depends entirely on the venue's foot traffic, not on the number. At a smaller facility it might be three or four weeks; somewhere busier it could be a fortnight. We will tell you the expected rate for your venue before you commit, and the actual rate afterwards.
Nothing is wasted. Water does not spoil on the timescales we are talking about, so leftover cases simply carry on being given away into the following month.
It is purified drinking water from a licensed Maryland bottler, in a 12 fl. oz. PET bottle, produced under the same food-safety rules as anything else on a shop shelf.
Roughly two weeks from approved artwork to bottles being delivered. Allow a few days before that for the proof, so about three weeks end to end from the day you send your logo.
The full amount for the run, before we send the job to print. 500 bottles is $625, 1,000 is $1,080, 2,500 is $2,375. There is no setup fee, no design charge and no delivery charge.
Not for a one-off run — you buy a run, it happens, and you are under no obligation after it. The membership is the only arrangement with a term, and that is three months paid up front and then month to month.
Yes, and for most businesses that is the better way to spend the same money. Two venues of 500 bottles reaches two different rooms of people rather than hitting the same room twice.
Nothing, at any point. The water, bottles, labels, printing, artwork, delivery and the sign for your cooler are all supplied by us and funded by the advertiser. You will never receive an invoice from Project Water.
It depends on how many bottles you hand out in a month, starting at $70 for 500 and rising to $1,140 at 10,000. The whole schedule is on the Distribution page and in the agreement you sign.
Within fifteen days of the end of each month, by check or transfer, whichever you prefer.
Cases delivered, minus cases still sealed at the end of the month. We count it together for the first two months until you are comfortable with the method.
Yes, always, and this is the one rule we will not move on. You may not sell it, bundle it into a paid item, or make it conditional on a purchase or a membership. If it is being sold, the placement ends.
So that it stays a courtesy for your customers rather than somebody's weekly shop. One each, two if they are with someone, is the spirit of it.
Yes. You tell us what your business sells, we will not place anyone who competes with it, and you see the artwork before it prints.
Either of us can end it with written notice. You finish out the month it falls in, handing out what has already been delivered, and you are paid for that month in full. No penalty either way.
Yes — it is advertising revenue, not a gift. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year we will send you a 1099-NEC, so we need a W-9 from you before the first payment.
A case is a shoebox. Most venues keep a few in a cooler or a fridge and the rest in a back room. If you have somewhere cool and dry for a few cases, you have enough space.
Yes. We are not asking for exclusivity on your counter, your sponsorships or anything else you have going on.
Tell us, because that is a good problem and it means you are earning below what you could. We either increase the run size or bring in a second advertiser to keep you stocked.
A licensed bottling company in Maryland. We handle the artwork, the print specification, the proofing and the delivery; they handle the water and the filling, under FDA rules.
Yes. Project Water carries general liability cover including products and completed operations. We can provide a certificate on request.
Project Water is a registered trade name of VestWise LLC, a Maryland limited liability company based in Frederick.
Frederick County and the surrounding area. If you are a little outside it, ask — delivery is usually the only question.
The distribution information the FDA requires — bottler, volume and contact details — which is set at a fixed size and position and cannot be moved, plus our one inch mark and QR code. Everything else is yours.
That is a different product and we are happy to quote it, but it is not what this is. The reason the economics work is that a venue hands them out to people who are not already your customers.
Not here? Call 267-549-0364 or email hello@projectwater.co and we will answer it — and probably add it to this page.
